EMANICS organizes a networking session at the ICT 2008 event in Lyon, France in November. ICT 2008 is the biggest event organized by the European Commission regarding information and communication technologies and we should take this opportunity to discuss "Management Challenges of the Future Internet" with people from different EU projects. The proposal has been accepted and can be found at: Dealing with the management challenges posed by the emerging Future Internet The Seventh Framework Programme is funding a number of projects and initiatives addressing issues relating to the Future Internet, such as routing, architectures, protocols and service-driven changes. However, none of them explicitly address the management of the Future Internet which closely depends on its design. The question is whether we need a completely new approach to management or simply to enhance existing approaches. This session will bring together experts from different EU-funded projects dealing with the Future Internet to discuss the implications of their work on the management of the Web. The meeting will serve as a forum for exchanging viewpoints, as well as fostering and strengthening collaboration. Networking session No. 108 "Management Challenges of the Future Internet" will take place Thursday, 27 November 2008 11.00 - 12.30, Room Saint Clair 3A
